| Reduce Costs by Connecting up to 30 D40A Safety Switches to a Single Controller |
Omron STI’s D40A non-contact door switches can be mounted to accept the actuator on the left or right side without having to change the location of the cable. They also provide users with high-visibility, two-color LED indicators that provide “at a glance” status indication at the guard door for quick adjustments, as necessary, with an auxiliary contact that allows for remote status indication.
The D40A controller may be used to monitor D40A non-contact switches, and tongue or key actuated switches, and helps users reduce costs by allowing them to connect up to 30 D40A switches to a single controller. It may also be used as a stand-alone safety controller, or for more complex applications it may be used as a component in the versatile G9SX modular relay system. When used as part of the G9SX relay system, users benefit from delayed stops and logical AND functions.

| Did You Know? |
Did you know that Omron STI offers Machine Safeguarding “Skill Builder” training seminars designed to educate personnel on the requirements and methods of machine and process safeguarding? Omron STI conducts these 1.5 to 2 day seminars at manufacturing plant locations in the United States and its territories, as well as Mexico, to help plant personnel understand how to identify, and sometimes correct, machine safeguarding discrepancies.
- Are you confident that your machines are guarded to the relevant standards?
- Have all steps been taken to prevent injuries from process equipment?
- Has a documented machine guarding assessment been performed to verify compliance?
If you can’t answer “yes” to all of these questions, or simply aren’t sure, it may be time for an Omron STI Skill Builder Seminar!
