Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
1. Experience in specifying and designing optical systems using LEDs; photodiodes, and lasers is preferred.
2. Experience in the lab during proto-type “bring-up” and “debug”. Ability to measure and analyze design/system parameters.
3. Experience with Third-Party certification activities such as TUV/UL/ CSA/ IEC, FDA
4. Communicate in writing and verbally to all who need to know concerning a project status.
5. Create, modify and sustain required engineering drawings using approved systems in support of the operation as required.
6. Work effectively in cross functional development teams to define the objectives of projects.
7. Demonstrated track record in bringing new products from concept to production.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
B. S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology, plus 5 years experience in the (hardware) design of embedded control systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MS degree preferred. Ability to work in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.
