OEM Safety Solutions Sales Engineer
Job Description:
Develop and manage Large OEM customers that build machines and systems used in a typical manufacturing environment. Find and develop new customers in specific vertical markets or geographical areas. Account management and relationship building with these customers is essential. Candidate must be able to use solid research skills to determine the ideal Customer and to know the Market in various industries within their geographical area.
Candidate must have worked in an industrial sales position or have an in-depth knowledge and experience with the machinery in the Industrial Market and the applications for safety products. Must be experienced in and able to develop and conduct training seminars for customers within the assigned territory. Must attend, assemble and conduct trade shows within the territory and occasionally trade shows either regionally or nationally. The position requires the candidate to develop account plans to achieve standardization and specification of OSTI products throughout the prospective customer's product line up. Additional duties may include field troubleshooting, application support, and some field service when required.
Self-Motivated, persistent, dependable, passionate about the customer and customer focused, a problem solver, innovative and able to provide solutions.
Able to work independently and selling direct in a team environment, and to work with Design Engineers, Engineering Managers, Safety engineers, Purchasing Management and Buyers.
Experienced in current safety regulations and standards for both domestic and global requirements. Previous experience as an application engineer or as a Manufacturing engineer may qualify if you have the right personality traits to be a strong sales leader. BSEE preferred, Miller Heiman Sales Training a plus, strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Products and Lotus Notes. Contact Management System experience a plus.
Valid Passport, and the ability to travel up to 40% of the time, 2 - 4 years selling Industrial Products, DMV printout is required, valid Driver's License.
