| Clearing Straight-side Press |
| This 250-ton Clearing straight-side press was a
turn-key project beginning with the removal of
existing controls. Once this was accomplished, the
machine was fitted with new Omron STI Machine Services press controls, Omron STI
infrared safety light curtains, and mirrors. A threesided
guard design, prevents access to the hazardous
area from the front, rear and left side. The feeder
assembly obstructs access to the point-of-hazard
from the right side. In addition to the safety
equipment, this application required installation of
two operator run stations and an interface for
automatic control of the feeding equipment. |
